Vegan Scouts is committed to providing affordable programming to all families, regardless of ability to pay. Your material and financial donations help us do what we do and maintain a fund to support families who otherwise could not participate.

Workplace giving

Workplace giving refers to programs in which employees donate to nonprofits through their employers, many of whom choose to match those donations.

Vegan Scouts is registered with Benevity, a popular workplace giving platform.

Ask your employer about workplace giving. If they:

Use Benevity, you can donate to Vegan Scouts through their program.
Have another program that requires us to register, let us know! We’ll look into it.
Don’t have an employer giving program, you can refer them to Benevity about their programs.

Vegan Scouts’ Support Squad Program

Who should join Vegan Scouts’ Support Squad?

Families who cannot attend Troop Meetings but want to support Vegan Scouts and stay current with our other events.
Individuals and households who may not have children enrolled in Vegan Scouts’ programming, but want to support the next generation of compassionate leaders.

Your automatic monthly payment provides Vegan Scouts with a steady base of support that will allow us to plan our programming and reach vegan families across Portland and beyond. Your gift will auto renew each year, but you may choose to end the monthly payment at any time. While our preference is for automatic monthly payments, one-time donations are wonderful too!

We also will have multiple benefits to you depending on your Support Squad level. All levels will receive access to Members-Only Vegan Scouts events, at least one ticket in our quarterly Support Squad-only raffle, a Vegan Scouts bumper sticker, and grateful bonuses announced for different events throughout the year. We encourage families who can, to join both as a Member and as part of the Support Squad! Thank you for your support! 🙂

Join us!

Membership dues are $50-$150 sliding scale/year per child. Dues help cover costs. Vegan Scouts is an all-volunteer organization. Dues may be paid in installments. We provide fee subsidies whenever possible so that no family is turned away for lack of funds.

All Vegan Scouts activities are parent/child.
